Ingredients
- 150 g (5 oz) dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 100 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 80 g (2/3 cup) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 50 g chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Preparation Steps

Preheat the oven:
Set to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Line a square baking pan (20×20 cm or 8×8 in) with parchment paper.

Melt chocolate and butter:
In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and chocolate over a water bath or in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.

Mix wet ingredients:
Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the chocolate mixture. Whisk until well combined.

Add dry ingredients:
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix just until smooth. Optionally fold in nuts or chocolate chips.

Bake:
Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20β25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
